Electrician – Duties


One of the main tasks of a construction electrician is to professionally and precisely carry out electrical installations. This includes the ability to read electrical diagrams. In addition, accurate connections, installation of sockets, switches, lighting and other elements of the electrical system in accordance with specified standards and regulations.

Additionally, a construction electrician is responsible for diagnosing faults and failures in electrical installations and repairing them effectively. Must respond quickly to reports of electrical problems. Then carry out thorough tests and effectively remove defects, minimizing disruptions to the functioning of the building.

Collaborating with other construction professionals is also part of the daily work of a construction electrician. He often has to work with plumbers, HVAC installers and other specialists. This is done to ensure the proper functioning of all building systems and to coordinate work related to various installations.

Electrician – Certificates

  1. SEP Certificate (Electrical Qualification Certificate): This is one of the most important certificates for electricians in Poland. SEP confirms having appropriate qualifications to perform electrical work at various voltage levels.
  2. E13 Certificate (Electrical Installations): The E13 Certificate is issued by the Office of Technical Inspection and confirms qualifications in the design, assembly, operation and repair of electrical installations.
  3. SEP D (Supervision) or SEP E (Operation) certificate: Electricians can obtain SEP certificates in various specializations, such as supervision (SEP D) or operation (SEP E), which confirms their skills in the supervision or operation of electrical installations.
  4. Qualified Electrician Certificate (CE): This is a certificate confirming the ability to perform electrical work in the European Union. A Qualified Electrician must have appropriate qualifications and experience.
  5. Occupational Health and Safety Certificate: While not specific to electricians, occupational health and safety knowledge and training is essential for all workers, including electricians, to ensure safe working conditions.
  6. Electrical Manufacturer Certifications: When specializing in specific electrical systems or devices, electricians can obtain certifications from manufacturers confirming their knowledge and skills in operating and maintaining these devices.
