Universal turner

A universal lathe is the most common type of lathe used in both industry and construction. A universal turner is a specialist with a wide range of machining skills, which allows him to perform a variety of turning work. Universal turner and specialization

Although a general purpose lathe has a wide range of skills and can perform many different lathe jobs. For example, when very high precision or specialized knowledge related to a given industry is required. An example is the aviation or medical industry, in which case turners with specializations more suited to these requirements are preferred.
